Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia Nominated for the BAL Ubuntu Trophy
Founder of Sini Foundation and Meta Africa Sports, Ibrahim Famouke Doumbia has officially been nominated for the prestigious BAL Ubuntu Trophy — an award presented to individuals using basketball to create meaningful impact within their communities.
Over the last few years, Ibrahim and his organizations have distributed more than 3,000 pairs of shoes across Africa while organizing tournaments, showcases, and community events that have helped young athletes gain exposure and scholarship opportunities internationally.
The impact has reached multiple countries across the continent, including Mali, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Congo, Burundi, and South Sudan. Through every initiative, the mission has remained consistent: creating opportunities for the next generation through sports, education, and mentorship.
Through Sini Academy and Meta Africa Sports, the work continues both on and off the basketball court — combining athletic development with English education, technology exposure, leadership, and community support programs designed to empower young people for the future.
“This nomination represents something much bigger than myself,” Ibrahim said. “It represents every young athlete chasing a dream despite limited resources. We are building something that will impact generations.”
