Africans in the Prep Hoops 2027 Rankings
Prep Hoops' 2027 national rankings include 146 players. Among them are several prospects with African heritage—from Nigeria, Mali, Senegal, the Gambia, Uganda, and Burkina Faso—who are already drawing high-major interest and starring on the EYBL and other elite circuits.

#3 – Moussa Kamissoko (6'8" SF)
School: Long Island Lutheran (NY). Club: PSA Cardinals. Moussa Kamissoko is a top-15 rising junior and one of the most versatile forwards in the 2027 class. At the 2025 Crossroads Elite Invitational he was camp MVP and led his team to the title, and he has high-major offers from Cincinnati, Louisville, NC State, Penn State, and Syracuse.
#4 – Obinna Ekezie Jr (7'0" C)
School: Southeastern Prep (FL). Club: EYBL Vegas Elite. Obinna Ekezie Jr is Nigerian-American; his father, Obinna Ekezie Sr, played at Maryland and in the NBA. The younger Ekezie is On3's No. 4 overall in 2027 and the top-ranked center. He's a rim-running, shot-blocking big with a 7'3" wingspan and offers from Houston, Stanford, Maryland, Arizona State, USC, and many others.
#13 – Paul Osaruyi (6'9" PF)
School: Bella Vista Prep (AZ). Club: Arizona Unity EYBL. Paul Osaruyi is a 6'9" power forward with a strong frame and two-way potential. He runs with Arizona Unity on the EYBL circuit and is tracked by Prep Hoops, MaxPreps, and North Pole Hoops as a 2027 prospect to watch.
#53 – Cherif Millogo (7'2" C)
School: St. Francis (Watsonville, CA). Club: —. Cherif Millogo is a 7'2" center with rare size for the 2027 class. He's a paint anchor and rim protector to monitor as his body and game develop.
#55 – Mahamadou Diop (6'10" C)
School: San Gabriel Academy (CA). Club: Dream Vision. Mahamadou Diop is a 6'10" center with a strong presence in the paint. He's ranked among the top centers in the 2027 class by ESPN and Rivals, with interest from Texas Tech, Pacific, and UC Riverside.
#62 – Godson Okokoh (6'8" PF)
School: Iowa United Prep (IA). Club: —. Godson Okokoh is a 6'8" versatile forward who can stretch the floor and defend multiple positions. He holds offers from Kansas, Arizona State, West Virginia, USC, Creighton, and Oklahoma State and has been a 2027 stock riser on the circuit.
#101 – Baboucarr Ann (6'5" SF/CG)
School: Maple Grove (MN). Club: D1 Minnesota. Baboucarr Ann is a 6'5" wing with combo guard capability. He runs with D1 Minnesota on the grassroots circuit and is a name to know in the 2027 class.
#104 – Kamsi Awaka (6'9" PF)
School: Blair Academy (NJ). Club: —. Kamsi Awaka is the younger brother of Tennessee's Tobe Awaka and brings similar physicality and defensive presence. The 6'10" forward has offers from Maryland, Rhode Island, Iona, Fordham, and High Point and is gaining more attention as a 2027 prospect.
#109 – David Baliraine (6'9" C/PF)
School: Dynamic Prep. Club: Southern Assault. David Baliraine is a 6'9" interior player with size and upside. He's part of the Southern Assault grassroots program and is tracked in the Prep Hoops 2027 rankings.
#115 – Sekou Cisse (6'9" PF)
School: Principia (MO). Club: —. Sekou Cisse is a 6'9" power forward with interest from Saint Louis, Lindenwood, and Illinois. He's a top-150 prospect in the 2027 class and a forward to follow in the Midwest.
